Working with me

Fertility is a reflection of your overall health, and any challenges may signal underlying imbalances

The good news? We can investigate and correct these with targeted nutrition and lifestyle interventions

As a nutritional therapist who practices functional medicine, my goal is to help you identify and address the root cause of what could be driving your fertility struggles.

Think of me as your holistic fertility detective, carefully piecing together clues from every aspect of your life including your; medical history, family history, symptoms and diet, to build a full picture of your overall health.

Making a baby is whole-body event

Your body thrives when everything is in balance. When one system, whether it’s your gut microbiome, thyroid or hormones, are out of sync, it can impact your ability to conceive and sustain a health pregnancy. My job is to identify and correct these imbalances through a food-first approach, supported by supplements when needed. We’ll also focus on lifestyle factors which are also key to hormonal balance such as sleep hygiene and mindset to prepare both your mind and body for pregnancy.

Some of the areas I can help support you with:

OPTIMISE NUTRIENT STATUS . EGG AND SPERM HEALTH . MICROBIOME IMBALANCES (GUT, VAGINAL, ORAL) . LIVER DETOXIFICATION . BLOOD SUGAR BALANCE . THYROID HEALTH . HORMONE BALANCE . TOXIN EXPOSURE . INFLAMMATION AND OXIDATIVE STRESS . SLEEP .  STRESS AND MINDSET

Research shows that your health before conceiving not only impacts your fertility, but also your pregnancy outcomes and the future health of your baby

My four-steps to making a baby

1

NOURISHMENT

Food fuels your fertility. Understanding which nutrients best support egg and sperm health, hormone balance, and overall reproductive health is key. I’ll guide you on the best fertility-friendly foods to nourish your body.

2

LIFESTYLE

Your daily habits matter. We’ll work on optimising the amount you move, your ability to handle stress, your sleep hygiene and address any environmental pollutants you're exposed to , all of which play a crucial role in reproductive health.

3

TARGETED SUPPLEMENTATION

I believe in a food-first approach but even with a balanced diet, some essential nutrients can be difficult to get in the right amounts. I will create a targeted supplement plan based on your test results and health history to help fill any nutritional gaps and optimise your nutrient status.

4

ADDITIONAL TESTING

Knowledge is power and the right test can uncover the missing pieces of the fertility puzzle. If necessary, I may recommend comprehensive blood testing or advanced functional testing which can take out the guess work and help us to identify underlying imbalances, deficiencies, or hormonal issues that may be affecting your fertility. Test recommendations include; vitamin and mineral testing, microbiome, hormones, thyroid, adrenal stress, genetic testing and sperm DNA fragmentation.

Fertility Statistics

Infertility is a global health concern which is often overlooked. You're not alone - let me help you get the answers you deserve.

I never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. I also frequently work alongside medical professionals and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client’s care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.
